This is one of several Iris paintings I did on board. These Iris's are from the garden at the Botanical Garden. They grow these each year, and the garden is very popular. I wanted to do very close up views of these flowers concentrating on the colorful shapes, shadows and textural backgrounds. This was an impressive white Iris with a colorful yellow floral background.
