My daughter, Mindy (which I'm extremely proud of) is an early education teacher. She is also a very talented artist. She and her school, La Petite Academy in Arnold held an art show at their Preschool.

The teachers came together to make this a really special event. All ages participated from infants to school aged children. Each classroom's teacher had the kids create individual art, as well as one group painting/sculpture. They held silent auctions for the group art, and sold the individual art.  As a reward for all the hard work the teachers do, the money was given directly back to the them for supplies in their classroom. One group painting was inspired by Jackson Pollock, and another was inspired by the Chihuly Glass Sculpture at the St. Louis Art Museum. They served sparkling apple cider and hors d'serves. Twinkling lights sparkled in the background, and classical music played. It is so exciting to see teachers who are passionate about teaching different mediums of art to young children. The event was a huge success; what a great idea for the parents, kids and the community!
